This event represents a no-pressure way to get a taste of what it’s really like to be a chef at a school dedicated to traditional French cooking techniques, but also welcoming of Modernist Cuisine. Arizona Culinary Institute is located at 10585 North 114th Street in Scottsdale, AZ 85259 (116th Street & Shea).
Arizona Culinary Institute offers several start dates per academic calendar year. The day program has eight starts a year (about every six weeks), while ACI’s evening program has four starts per year. The next Night Program Start Date is April 27, while the next Day Program Start Date is May 18.
“I invite you to join us here on campus on Saturday, April 11 to experience first-hand our highly individualized program that truly prepares students for the industry,” notes Arizona Culinary Institute President and Co-founder, Chef Robert Wilson. “Our students are finished in a restaurant setting in our own du Jour Restaurant, and our placement rates are unrivaled.”
Guests at the festive Spring Open House will enjoy picnic-style treats from ACI’s newest chef instructor, Chef Ron Lawrence, including traditional and southwestern flavored sloppy joe sliders with Cole Slaw and potato salad side dishes.
Current and former students of Arizona Culinary Institute are also invited to attend a special Fruit and Vegetable Carving Class presented by Chef Santos Villarico. Reservations for this extraordinary demo can be made by calling (480) 602-1066, or by e-mail to info@azculinary.edu.
“Chef Villarico is an amazing culinary artist,” notes ACI’s Chef Christopher Wolf. “I have seen him turn a watermelon into an intricate flower arrangement, and ACI students and alumni are not going to want to miss this demonstration by a true master.”
